A lot has been happening this summer and it is flying by faster than my naps in the pack and play (my current bed). The sun has been shining and I’ve been enjoying everyday. I continue to get bigger and of course my cuteness continues to astonish mere strangers and of course my family.
A couple weeks ago I hopped in the car with my folks and drove down to Cass Lake area to go see the Dunlap side of the family and spend some quality time at the Cabin celebrating my grandma Bryson’s 60th birthday.
While we were there I go to spend some more time with my cousin Abby who is a couple months older than I am. She is showing off some pretty sweet tricks now like rolling over and putting most anything in her mouth.
While we were there we got out for a pontoon boat ride. The weather was beautiful, there was a little wind kicking up some smallish waves, but it was nice to get out on the water. I shrugged off a wave that came over the front of the boat and doused mom and me. The rest of the time I pretty much tried to get as comfortable as possible in my sweet life jacket while always trying to stay find some shade.
Back at home I’ve been able to hang out a few times with my other new cousin Libby. She sure is tiny. I can’t believe I used to be as wobbly as she currently is. Keep working on that head control girl! When we do get together we pretty much just lay around and have staring contests. There hasn’t been a definitive winner yet, but I’m sure once we are both talking its going to be nearly impossible to get a word in edge wise.
We just recently had our Wisconsin relatives come out in the Moose Caboose (Their motor home). I got to hang out with the whole crew, but only was caught by the paparazzi when I was hanging out with Amy and Isaac.
Boat rides on Vermilion are so much fun. We get to go out and cruise around the lake and let the wind blow through our hair. As you can imagine that sure is something with the head of hair I’m currently sporting.
I have also been getting out on a lot of walks and now runs. The bumpy gravel road mixed with the fact that runs always seem to coincide with nap time, I find it nearly impossible to stay away for the duration of the run. I always find myself sleeping in my car seat on the living room floor.
I also still really enjoy jamming out on my play mat. The foot piano may become my family talent if smiling on demand doesn’t make the cut. Check out this little video of me tickling the ivories with my toes…
Finally I’ll leave you with a smiling bath picture and a story. In the following video I tell you all about my favorite things about my life. I sure am going to be a great talker.
